FIX: Batching orchestration performance decreases under load in BizTalk Server

Symptoms

The Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.BatchingOrchestration.BatchingService orchestration performance is decreased over time, and there's a backlog in the BizTalkMsgBoxDb Spool and InstanceStateMessageReferences_<HOST> tables.

This issue is more prominent when the following conditions are true:
  • The EDI Batching termination criteria is configured to let the orchestration instance run longer.
  • The EDI Batching release criteria is configured to release the outgoing batch more frequently.
  • There's a large load of messages being processed by EDI BatchingService orchestration.
