Session Integrator fails with "'LU Name not found' (CLU0_E_LUNOTFOUND)" even if logical units are configured

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run an application that was written to use the Session Integrator feature of Microsoft Host Integration Server.
  • Multiple logical units that are distributed through multiple Host Integration Server servers are configured to use a certain pool.
  • The application tries to use a logical unit out of the pool in order to establish a session.
In this scenario, the request may fail, and you receive the following error message:
"LU Name not found" (CLU0_E_LUNOTFOUND)

This issue doesn’t occur if the logical unit out of the pool is configured on the local server on which the application is running.
