Every other typed character is missing in a nested div when you input text in Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms

When you use an input method editor (IME) to enter text on an editable inline-block element in another editable element (such as nested html div tags), every other keystroke is ignored and you cannot enter text in Internet Explorer 11.

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.

Note This update was first included in the May 2015 cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS15-043) .
