FIX: SSIS fails when you convert Date Time data by using Data Provider for DB2

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You're running a SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) application that uses the Managed Provider for DB2 that's included in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013 or in the stand-alone Data Provider for DB2, version 4 or version 5. (This stand-alone provider is included in the Microsoft SQL Server feature pack.) This application imports a column that contains Date Time data (TimeStamp Data Type).

In this situation, you randomly receive the following error message:
Msg 8114, Level 16, State 8, Line 1
Error converting data type DBTYPE_DBTIMESTAMP to datetime2.

Cause

This problem may occur when a TIMESTAMP value is divided between two 32-KB DDM data buffers. In this situation, the TIME parser doesn't convert “time as string” to “OleDb DBTIMESTAMP structure” as expected.
