View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Scenario 1

Recorded content such as a PowerPoint presentation or a whiteboard is lost in Microsoft Lync 2013.  When this issue occurs, Lync 2013 shows recorded content that differs from what it should show.

Scenario 2

The quality of recorded video or audio is lower than expected in Lync 2013. When this issue occurs, the video or audio is 10 frames per second (FPS) instead of 15.

Cause

The issue that is described in "Scenario 1" occurs because Lync 2013 generates a non-unique file path for the recorded content although Lync 2013 treats it as a unique file path.

The issue that is described in "Scenario 2" occurs because Lync 2013 uses a hard-coded value of 10 FPS instead of using the registry key value that specifies 15 FPS.
