Rotation does not work on a Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2-based computer

This article describes an issue when you change the rotation in Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2. This issue occurs because the computer quickly resumes and then returns to sleep mode. Therefore, you cannot change the rotation unless you manually specify an orientation change in Control Panel.
