INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you turn on Track Changes in a Word 2010 document that contains fields or OLE objects. You make some changes in it. Then you click to save and close the document. When you reopen it, some unexpected formatting revisions are displayed in the Revision balloon.
  • When you extend the selection from a table cell to another table cell in Word 2010, the WindowSelectionChange event is not triggered.
  • Assume that you set a group policy that disables the AutoCorrect does not apply Capitalized sentence feature in Word 2010. You open a Word document, and then you type a paragraph. In this situation, the first sentence of the paragraph is still capitalized.
  • Assume that you open a document that contains some internal links in Word 2010, and then you save it as a PDF file. When you reopen the Word document, some additional pages are added unexpectedly, and the internal links become incorrect. These issues also occur in the newly created PDF file.
  • Assume that you use the preview pane in Windows Explorer to preview a Word 2010 document. After you close the explorer window, the winword.exe process may remain running and use 100 percent of the CPU.
  • When you group some fields in a Word 2010 document, the information about the fields do not update. For example, the grouped Date & Time field and the grouped Page Number field do not update as expected.
