All messages are stamped by MRM if a deletion tag in a retention policy is configured in an Exchange Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

Assume that you create a Messaging Record Management (MRM) retention policy to delete items in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment. The deletion tag in the retention policy is for voice mail only. In this situation, MRM unexpectedly stamps all the messages regardless of type. Additionally, you encounter a performance issue if there are lots of message items in the environment.
