Download and install the update
You can use Windows Update to download and install the update (recommended).
To get the stand-alone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
Note This update applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2013. This update does not apply to Office 2013 Click-to-Run edition such as Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium.
- Start an Office 2013 application such as Microsoft Word 2013.
- On the File menu, click Account.
- For Office 2013 Click-to-Run edition, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based Office 2013 edition, the Update Options item is not displayed.

- Assume that you open a contact card that contains a PSTN number, and then you call the number by using Lync 2013. When the call ends you close the conversation window.
In this situation, when you open the Conversation view in Lync 2013, the conversation history of the call that you made in the previous step shows your user name (instead of the one of the user whom you called).
Additionally, when you open the Conversation History folder in Outlook, the conversation history of the call that you made in the previous step does not have a user name in the TO field. Additionally, the conversation history does not have detail information for the user in the item body. - You start Narrator.
When you open a Word document that contains many images in Word 2013, Word may crash. Then you may be prompted to download the images, and when it starts to download images, Word may crash again.
Similarly, when you open an attachment that contains many images from Outlook 2013, Outlook may crash. Then you may be prompted to download the images, and when it starts to download images, Outlook may crash again.
