Audio decoder crashes when you play back protected Dolby Digital or MPEG content in Windows RT

Symptoms

Assume that you have a device that is running Windows RT. When you try to play back Dolby Digital or MPEG content that is protected or is associated with protected video, the audio decoder crashes, and audio does not play back.
