A country-specific update is available to comply with the VAT tax point changes in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

This article describes a country-specific update in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

On January 1, 2013, some new changes about the value-added tax (VAT) law was implemented in Poland. The rule that defines the VAT tax point is changed.
Currently, the VAT tax point is the date of delivery of goods or services. However, if a transaction should be confirmed by issuing an invoice, the tax point is shifted to the date of invoice issuing, but not later than seven days from the date of delivery of goods or services.
From January 1, 2013, this regulation has a new exception, for transactions as European Union (EU) deliveries. If the transactions are generated for EU deliveries, the rule for the VAT tax point indication is the date of invoice issuing, but not later than the 15th day after the month of delivery of goods or services.
To comply with this change, a country-specific update is available in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this update.
