INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you have a workbook on a Microsoft SharePoint library that requires the documents to be checked out before they can be edited. When you open the workbook from the Recent Files list in Excel 2010, the ReadOnly property returns an incorrect value when it is queried.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a workbook that contains a horizontal 1-D shape (a line) that is positioned exactly on the cell boundary between rows in a spreadsheet.
    • The Size and Position properties of the line include Move and size with cells, which is the default.
    • You insert a new row below the horizontal line, and you save the workbook.
    • You close the workbook, and then you try to open the workbook again.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message, and the shapes will be deleted on each option:
Excel found unreadable content in 'filename'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a workbook that contains a vertical 1-D shape (a line) that is positioned exactly on the cell boundary between columns in a spreadsheet.
    • The Size and Position properties of the line include Move and size with cells, which is the default.
    • You insert a new column to the right of the vertical line, and you save the workbook.

  • Assume that you have a shared Excel workbook that is protected by Information Rights Management (IRM). When you try to save the workbook in Excel 2010, Excel may crash.
  • Assume that you have a document that contains hyperlinks to documents in two SharePoint realms that are backed by two author providers. When you open a document from the first realm in an Office 2010 application, you cannot open documents from the other realm.
