INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you add a discovery search mailbox as a mailbox to a profile in Outlook 2010. When you export the items from the search results folder as a .pst file, calendar items are not exported.
  • When you have the permission to view another user's folder in Outlook 2010, the quota information is displayed incorrectly for your account.
  • Assume that you implement a Cisco Unity voice mail form for Outlook 2010 in a Citrix environment. When you scroll through an email message, Outlook 2010 crashes.
  • Assume that you integrate Outlook 2013 with SharePoint Server 2013. When you synchronize a task list with a SharePoint Server 2013 site, you receive a 0x80004005 error code.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • Your administrator configures a policy so that you are prompted before you send a read receipt.
    • You receive an email message that requests a read receipt in Outlook 2010.
    • You open the email message, and then a dialog box appears.
    • You select the Don't ask me about sending receipts again check box.
    • You receive another email message that requests a read receipt.
In this situation, the dialog box appears again.
  • Assume that you set search folders to be stale in Outlook 2010. When you start Outlook 2010, Outlook 2010 crashes.
  • Assume that you install a Visual Studio add-in that cancels write events for tasks in Outlook 2010. After you assign a task to a user in Outlook 2010, the Manage Task group is disabled.
  • Assume that you send a recurring meeting to an Exchange user, and the Some invitees use other mail programs option is enabled for the meeting. When you receive a cancellation meeting after the user cancels the meeting request, Outlook 2010 crashes.
  • The unread or read count for email messages is not updated in folder trees in Outlook 2010.
  • Assume that a meeting request has a blank From field because the PR_SENT_REPRESENTING_NAME property is missing in Outlook 2010. When you try to update the meeting request, you receive the following error message:
Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.
  • When you work in Schedule view in Outlook 2010, Outlook 2010 crashes.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You select the When replying to a message that is not in the Inbox, save the reply in the same folder check box in Outlook 2010.
    • You delete the .ost file for the cached mode profile.
    • You try to reply to an email message.
In this situation, the email message is never sent.
  • Assume that you install Adobe Reader on a computer. When you print an email message that contains a .pdf file, you receive the following error message:
There was an error opening this document. The selected file cannot be found.
  • Assume that the length of the legacyExchangeDN attribute and a server name exceeds 245 characters. When you send an email message from a cached mode profile, the email message remains in the Outbox folder and is never sent.
  • When you start Outlook 2010, the Favorites folders for additional mailboxes are not displayed.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a custom form that contains a body control.
    • You load the custom form in Outlook 2010.
    • You add text to the form.
    • You switch to a different window.
    • You switch back to the form and then type some text.
In this situation, the text is does not appear even though the cursor is visible.
  • Assume that you disable the Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) format in Outlook 2010. When you use an IMAP account to send an email message to an invalid recipient, you do not receive a non-delivery report (NDR).

After you install the hotfix package, you can follow these steps to configure how long Outlook 2010 waits before it tracks attachments:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Options\Attachments\
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
