INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you create a chart in which the y-axis label is rotated in a workbook in Microsoft Excel 2010. Then, you paste the chart to a Word 2010 document from the workbook. In this situation, when you copy or change a field from the linked Excel chart, the text in the vertical axis becomes unreadable. For example, the letters overlap.
  • When you print a document in booklet layout in Word 2010, horizontal white lines appear across the printed document.
  • Assume that you edit a formula in a document in Word 2010. When you save and then open the document again, it is corrupted. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
    Location: Part: /word/document.xml Line: 2 Column: 0
  • Assume that a document contains a text box that uses a horizontal border in Word 2010. When you print the document, the end of the text box content is not printed.
  • Assume that you create a document that contains a MultiLine content control together with data binding and that contains a line break in Word 2010. Then, you add a signature to the document. In this situation, when you open the document again, the signature is invalid.
  • Assume that there is a template on a network share that is inaccessible or slow. When you open a binary document based on the template in Word 2010, it takes longer than expected to open the document.
  • When you use an object model to convert a list in a content control to plain text in Word 2010, only the content of the first list item appears inside the content control. For example, when you create a numbered list, the number of the first item appears outside the content control.
  • When you run the Send as Attachment option in Word 2010 to send a document that contains an uppercase extension, a duplicate extension is displayed for the document in the created email message.
  • After you attach a template on a network share that contains VBA code to a document in Word 2010, the objects in the VBA code become invalid.
  • When you print a Word document that is marked as "final" on a SharePoint server in Word 2010, the table captions in the Word document are printed incorrectly.
  • When you insert an EPS image in a document by using the Insert and Link option in Word 2010, the image is not embedded.
  • Assume that you copy many Excel rows into an HTML email message in Outlook 2010. Then, you send or save the email message as a draft. When you or the recipient open the email message, it takes longer than expected to open and display the contents of the email message.
