INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • You connect to alternative mailboxes such as auto-mapped mailboxes, modern public folders, and archive mailboxes on an Outlook 2010 client that is connected to a domain. In this situation, Outlook 2010 uses an external host name.
  • You apply the Do Not Forward permission to an email message that contains some images and then save the email message in Outlook 2010. Then, you delete one image from the email message. In this situation, the deleted image is sent as an attachment when you send the email message.
  • When you create a data collector set for Outlook 2010 in performance monitor, no data is collected.
  • When AutoDiscover settings are changed on an Exchange server, the Outlook 2010 profile is partially updated.
  • When you perform an advanced search in the address book in Outlook 2010, you receive the following error message:
The search cannot be completed. The bookmark is not valid.
  • When you send an encrypted email message to an One-Off address from the AutoComplete cache in Outlook 2010, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Outlook had problems encrypting this message because the following recipients had missing or invalid certificates, or conflicting or unsupported encryption capabilities
  • Consider the following scenario. You use Group Policy Object (GPO) to sign all email messages in Outlook 2010, and then you forward a meeting invite or a calendar item. In this situation, you receive the following error message:
The message you are sending cannot be processed by the underlying security system. To reset the system, turn off the security options on this message, then save and close it. Then try the operation again. (Be sure to turn security back on before sending.)
  • Outlook 2010 does not send non-federated users alerts when their password is nearing expiration.
  • When you configure a POP3 profile in Outlook 2010, duplicated email messages are repeatedly downloaded.
