INTRODUCTION

This article describes that a country-specific update is available to add a new field for large taxpayer unit (LTU) in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 with the India localization layer installed.

More information

The Large taxpayer unit (LTU) code field is added under the Excise field group for LTU in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 with the India localization layer installed. The Large taxpayer unit (LTU) code field is not a mandatory field. Additionally, this field can contain up to 20 digits that can belong to alpha, numeric and other special characters.

After you post a sales invoice, when you print and view the sales invoice, you can view the LTU code on the sales invoice. 

After you apply this update, you can view the Large taxpayer unit (LTU) code field under the Exercise field group in the following location:
General ledger>Setup>Organization>Legal entities>Addresses>Tax information>Manage Address>Tax information
