A country-specific update is available for the sales tax feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2012 R2 with the India localization layer installed

Customer orders can be created in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 Retail POS. When a credit sale is completed or a customer orders in bulk quantity that cannot be served at that point of time, a customer order is required.

Compared with POS transactions, an sales order is created automatically in Headquarter when a customer order is created on POS. the customer order can be recalled, fulfilled and paid on POS later. Per India's legal requirements, taxes could be applied on customer orders, shipping charges and cancellation charges.

The sales tax feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2012 R2 extends existing functionality to support sales tax on shipping charges. India taxes should also be catered to these new feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail 2012. Specifically within this feature, we will support the following respects:

• CST, VAT and service tax for customer order, for its return and for cancellation.
• Service tax for shipping charge of customer order and of customer quotation.
• Service tax for cancellation charge when a customer order is canceled.
