Symptoms

  • You run Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 on a computer.
  • You create a receive location that uses the Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) adapter to receive messages from a Message Queuing transactional queue.
  • You use the XMLReceive pipeline to process the messages.
  • A message that contains invalid characters arrives at the receive location.

In this scenario, BizTalk Server does not suspend the message correctly. Additionally, events that resemble the following are logged in the Application log.
