INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you open an .xls file and then use the Sort dialog box in Excel 2010. When the Sort dialog box contains multiple conditions for sorting data, Excel 2010 crashes.
  • When you set range formulas in Excel 2010 by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code, Excel 2010 runs approximately 60 percent slower than Microsoft Office Excel 2007.
Note After you apply the update that is described in this KB article, add "ActiveWorkbook.ForceFullRecalc = TRUE" to the VBA code.
  • The Find Format dialog box returns no search results when you search for cells that are formatted in a specific way and that use a specific fill color.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You use a RealTimeData (RTD) function in an array formula.
    • You call the user-defined function that is defined in an Excel add-in (XLL).
    • You update the workbook, and then you edit the array formula.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Excel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas.

  • 2687317 An error occurs when you try to sort the rows in a whole worksheet in Excel 2010
