INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you configure Outlook 2010 by using a profile to connect to multiple Microsoft Office 365 email accounts, you may experience connection delays or failures on one of the accounts. When you select a folder in that account, the Outlook status bar displays "Trying to connect" or Disconnected."
  • Assume that a mailbox that contains multi-profile configurations is migrated from Microsoft Exchange Server On-Premises to Microsoft Exchange Online. You log on the mailbox and then create an offline folder (.ost) file. You open the .ost file in Outlook 2010. In this situation, you cannot open the file, and you receive the following error message:
File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file FilePath.
  • When you add a multivalued list to the Email Address tab of a user template by using the Details Templates Editor in Microsoft Exchange Server, each email address in the offline address book in Outlook 2010 is shown two times.
  • Assume that the AutoArchive function is disabled by an Exchange policy. However, the AutoArchive function still works, and some items are moved to a .pst file in Outlook 2010.
  • Assume that a user is not mail-enabled in a distribution list. When you expand the distribution list and then rest the mouse pointer on the user in a message item in Outlook 2010, Outlook crashes.
  • When you try to search an online account in the instant search box in Outlook 2010, Outlook continues to be in searching status, and no search results are returned.
  • When your distinguished name contains a slash mark (/) character, you cannot configure Outlook profiles by using the Account Settings wizard.
  • Assume that your computer resumes from hibernation. When you switch to the Calendar folder in Outlook 2010, it takes 30 seconds to 1 minute until the calendar appointments are loaded and displayed.
  • Assume that the first day of week is not Sunday in the Outlook Options dialog box in Outlook 2010. When you print the calendar in monthly style, not all days are printed.
For example, you set Monday as the first day of week under the Calendar tab in the Outlook Options dialog box. When you print the calendar of April 2012 or of July 2012 in monthly style, April 1 or July 1 is not printed.
  • Assume that you link a contact to an appointment or to a meeting request. When you open the Activities page of the contact in Outlook 2010, the appointment or the meeting request is not displayed in the page.
  • Assume that your computer is in non-English format. You install a different Microsoft Office Language Interface Pack (LIP) on the computer. You open or create a message in Outlook 2010. In this situation, an error message prompts you that custom actions cannot be installed and objects cannot be found.
For example, you select Spanish (Spain) under the format tab in the Region and Language dialog box. Then, you install an LIP for Catalan. You set the display language and the default editing language to Catalan in Outlook 2010. You open or create a message. In this situation, you receive the following error message in Catalan:
No s'han pogut install.lar les accions personalitzades. No s'ha trobat l'objecte.
  • Assume that you create an appointment by using a Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS) application in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment. When you open or delete the appointment in Outlook 2010, Outlook crashes.
  • 2598364 "Outlook is retrieving data from the Microsoft Exchange Server" message after you upgrade Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010
  • 2598365 You are logged off from a domain after you send some WinHTTP requests to Office 365
  • 2598367 Uncategorized appointment or meeting is printed in blue instead of white in Outlook 2010
  • 2598369 You receive an error message when you try to set an OOF message in Outlook 2010
