The SIP addresses in the address book file are missing in a Lync Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

When you deploy Microsoft Lync Server 2010 in an environment, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) addresses in the address book file are missing. Additionally, a Lync 2010 client does not show the correct search result.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Address Book server incorrectly resets the user data synchronization time before the synchronization starts. As a result, the user data is not synchronized.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:

Workaround

To work around this issue, run the Update-CsAddressBook command on the Lync Server 2010 server.
