INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Outlook Social Connector (OSC). This update provides the latest fixes for the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Microsoft Outlook 2010. Additionally, this update contains stability and performance improvements.

  2. Click Advanced Search.
  3. In the Location box, click Local Hard Drives.
  4. In the Name box, type
    Socialconnector.dll, and then click
    Search.
  5. In the list of files, right-click
    Socialconnector.dll, and then click
    Properties.
  6. On the General tab, note the properties of the Socialconnector.dll file that is installed on the computer.
Windows XP
  1. Start Search Companion. To do this, click
    Start, and then click Search.

    Note If Windows Desktop Search starts, click Click here to use Search Companion.
  2. In the Search Results window, click All files and folders in the Search Companion pane.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type Socialconnector.dll, and then click
    Search.
  4. In the list of files, right-click
    Socialconnector.dll, and then click
    Properties.
  5. On the General tab and on the
    Version tab, note the properties of the Socialconnector.dll file that is installed on the computer.

How to uninstall this update

  1. Click Start, and then click
    Run.
  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click
    OK.
  3. Use one of the following procedures, depending on the operating system that you are running.
    • Windows 7 and Windows Vista
      1. Click View installed updates.
      2. In the list of updates, select update 2553267, and then click Uninstall.
    • Windows XP
      1. Click to select the Show updates check box.
      2. In the list of updates, select update 2553267, and then click Remove.
