The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication Service service crashes when you run the "New-MailboxImportRequest" cmdlet to import a .pst file into a mailbox in an Exchange Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

You run the New-MailboxImportRequest cmdlet to import a .pst file into a mailbox in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment. In this situation, the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication Service service crashes. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log:

Cause

This issue occurs because the value of a variable is set to Null. However, there is no check for null variables before the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication Service service accesses the variable.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
