INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you try to open a Crosstab type query that contains a null value as one of the column names in Microsoft Access 2010, you receive the following error message:

Reserved error (-5500); there is no message for this error.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a query that is based on a table in an external database in Access 2010.
    • You move or rename the external database and then the table is relinked.
    • You try to open the query that you created.
In this scenario, you cannot open the query. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    Invalid database object reference.
  • Assume that you create an open database connectivity (ODBC) link table in Access 2010. You connect the ODBC link table to a SQL server. Then, multiple users insert data into the ODBC link table at or near the same time. In this situation, another user’s data is displayed in the ODBC link table instead of the data that you inserted. However, the actual data in the SQL table is correct.
