INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you delete a meeting item from your calendar in Outlook 2010, the BeforeItemMove event is not triggered.
  • When you ignore an email message in your Outlook 2010 inbox, the BeforeItemMove event is not triggered as expected.
  • Outlook 2010 crashes when the GetProps method is called in Outlook 2010. This issue occurs when the GetProps method is called on the root folder of a mailbox that is not the primary mailbox.
  • In Outlook 2010, you cannot add an Outlook.olEmbeddedItem type attachment to an email message by using a POP3 or IMAP only mode user account.
  • Outlook 2010 crashes when you open the mobile contact folder that contains contacts. Specifically, contacts that do not have the PR_NORMALIZED_SUBJECT property configured.
  • Outlook 2010 stops responding when you configure an IMAP mode profile to connect to a large size mailbox.
  • You synchronize a contact list from a SharePoint contact list to Outlook 2010. Then, you right-click an email address of the contact in Outlook 2010. In this situation, the Internet format of the email address is set to "Send using Outlook Rich Text Format". However, the Internet format of the email address should be set to "Let Outlook decide the best sending format".
  • The BeforeItemMove event is not triggered when you delete appointments from the To-Do List in Outlook 2010.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create folders under the Inbox folder in Outlook 2010.
    • You register the BeforeItemMove event for each folder.
    • You remove an email message from the folder.
In this scenario, the BeforeItemMove event is not triggered.
  • When you try to set a rule to an email message that is in a personal-folders (.pst) file in Outlook 2010, the rule is not automatically created in Rules and Alerts.
