More Information

When you configure a retention policy on a mailbox folder or mail items, the retention policy message in OWA differs from the one in Microsoft Office Outlook. This update contains the following improvements to the display message in OWA to make the display message consistent in OWA and in Outlook.
  • The following message is updated:

    This item will expire in <x> days. To keep this item longer, apply a different Retention Policy.

    After you apply this update, the message includes the retention policy name and the expiration date. The following information is added to the message:

    Retention Policy: Delete after <x> weeks (<x> weeks) Expires: <date>
  • After you apply this update, the retention policy name and the inherit relationship are displayed in the Use Folder Policy message of the subfolder.
