You cannot add a filter group to list pages in which no filter group exists in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for all regions.

Symptoms

Assume that you have list pages in which no filter group exists in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. When you try to add a filter group to the list pages, the New control menu is missing under the Designs node in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Therefore, you cannot add a filter group to the list pages.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
